The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) released two enlightening articles we wanted to share. First, to help employees during the pandemic with a work-life balance and managing the new learning format from schools—and to keep them from quitting their jobs—more employers are stepping up to provide or subsidize supervision for their workers’ children, whether from a tutor at home, in a study pod with co-workers or in a converted meeting room at the office. Next, technology is going to play a big part in mental health management as more people continue to work remotely across every industry. It is wonderful to see so many companies stepping up with empathetic approaches to get through this challenging year.
Lastly, as mentioned on the webinar, the IRS and the SBA are notorious for putting out FAQ’s on the Friday before a holiday weekend, so we do expect some new info tomorrow, although they did publish some guidance late last Friday. Stay tuned.
