Placing the COVID-19 Impacted Community Back into Jobs
Workforce Heroes Program

New Orleans, Louisiana: The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana and Delta Administrative Services are pleased to announce they have partnered to launch “Workforce Heroes,” an initiative to recognize and support the community impacted by Covid-19 by providing short-term job placement for displaced individuals, helping them re-enter the workforce for six to eight weeks and ultimately stimulate the economy. This program is made possible thanks to the generous funding from Delta Administrative Services, who share our interest in assisting those who are most affected by the global pandemic.

The Hispanic community has been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic in different areas including health, access to capital, and unemployment. As the largest Hispanic business organization, we felt the need to respond to the urgency to help individuals without gainful employment. The Workforce Heroes Program is only one of the actions taken by our organization in response to COVID-19. During this extraordinary time, it is important to remember that there is strength in community and supporting each other through hardship is how we will rise together.

“We are grateful to be able to make a small difference for local families impacted by this crisis. HCCL recognizes the importance of lifting our hardworking community and providing opportunities to advance professionally and scale businesses,” said Mayra E. Pineda, President & CEO, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana. “Thank you to Delta Administrative Services for their leadership and commitment to the community and our organization.”

“Delta has deep Louisiana roots in the people business, supporting local organizations since our founding in 1968. We are proud to be able to give back and help the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana achieve a greater scale of relief for those in need,” said David Lawrence, President of Delta Administrative Services.
