The SBA has released a couple more FAQs relating to Paycheck Protection Program loans (see #50-51), as well as new insights in consultation with the Department of the Treasury for PPP loan forgiveness.
In Louisiana, Governor Edwards will be rolling out an additional $300 unemployment benefit after new federal guidance made it easier for the state to pay a portion of the costs. Although it is still unclear when the unemployed individuals will begin receiving these payments, they will be retroactive to August 1st when the $600 aid expired. Since March, the typical unemployed American was receiving about $930/week. It will be interesting to see how this reduction affects our economy.
Finally, as the election inches closer, we wanted to share some information about responding to social and political expressions in the workplace.
